Although Lexus and Toyota have been in the spotlight for recent recall issues, that hasn’t prevented Lexus or Toyota products from winning acclaim. Among the latest awards for Lexus products are those from IntelliChoice.com, which named some Lexus vehicles as having the Best Overall Values of the Year
“IntelliChoice.com’s annual BOVY awards are designed to instruct buyers on the cars, trucks and SUVs that deliver the most value for the money over a five year period of ownership,” said Charlie Vogelheim, executive editor of IntelliChoice.com. “We rank every model on the market based on the most important cost of ownership factors, including retained value, fuel, maintenance and repair, insurance, licensing and fees.
A total of two Lexus modes were awarded by IntelliChoice, including the Lexus RX crossover, which was named the Best Crossover/SUV Value Over $28,000 and the Lexus IS 350 Sedan which was named the best value in the Luxury Sports Sedan/Wagon segment. The Lexus RX is a repeat BOVY award winner.
The awards and accolades for the quality among Lexus vehicles are not surprising to Washington DC Lexus customers. The dealership continues to see repeat Lexus buyers time and time again, and this is largely due to the quality, comfort, and safety of their products. Even dealers of Chantilly used trucks understand that Lexus quality is second to none, which is why so many of Lexus’ retired models and older generations can still be seen on the road today. Beaver Toyota in Santa Fe says it often has customers searching for an Albuquerque Certified Used Lexus ES.
Demand for Toyota and Lexus vehicles in the wake of sweeping recalls may have waned, but the quality and value of Toyota vehicles continues to receive recognition. Lexus in particular has not received the criticism or concern that Toyota branded models have received, and with the addition of awards such as the ones from IntelliChoice.com, Lexus will likely move past this tumultuous period unscathed.
