To add a further injection of excitement to its flagship sedan, Lexus recently announced it would produce a limited number of Touring Edition models of the LS 460 executive car, boasting unique equipment and a fresh exterior color.
Available in both rear- and all-wheel-drive configurations, The LS 460 Touring Edition will feature:
- An exclusive Smoky Granite Mica paint scheme
- Five-spoke alloy wheels (19 inches for RWD models; 18 inches for AWD models)
- An aggressive sport body kit and redesigned grille
- New, well-bolstered sport seats
- A wood- and leather-trimmed steering wheel and shift knob
- Matte brown wood and black/saddle leather interior accents
- Premium floor mats
And that’s in addition to the LS 460’s long list of other standard and available luxury content, including a 4.6-liter aluminum V8 with intelligent variable valve timing and electronic intake valve timing, a comprehensive navigation system with innovative “casual language” voice-recognition functionality, and a 19-speaker Mark Levinson surround-sound audio system. Full warranty coverage is included as well, with 48-month/50,000-mile basic limited warranty coverage, 48-month/unlimited-mileage roadside assistance, 72-month/70,000-mile powertrain/restraint system coverage, and 72-month/unlimited-mileage perforation coverage.
“The LS 460 Touring Edition is a unique package of sporty exterior styling and comfort,” said Mark Templin, group vice president and general manager of Lexus, who also reminds buyers that, “With limited units available nationwide, they’ll sell out fast to customers who want an all-inclusive luxury package.”
With an MSRP that starts at $73,000 for the rear-wheel-drive version, the 2011 Lexus LS 460 Touring Edition is scheduled to launch by early July.
